About Fridge to Fryer

I'm Sahil, and I'm not a chef — I'm an engineer based in Dubai, UAE. Fridge to Fryer started from a problem I kept running into: staring into the fridge with a handful of random ingredients, an air fryer sitting on the counter, and no real idea what to make with what I actually had.

I first tried building something bigger — a full diet-planning app that asked for your weight, height and goals, then generated a meal plan behind a subscription. But the more I built it out, the more I realized people didn't need another app telling them what to eat. They needed something simpler: tell it what's in your kitchen right now, and get a recipe you can actually cook tonight.

So that's what Fridge to Fryer is. The pantry tool on the homepage lets you tick off what you've got, and it matches you to a recipe you can start immediately — no grocery run, no guesswork.

Every recipe here comes with an exact air fryer temperature and time. As an engineer, “cook until golden” or “season to taste” has never been good enough for me — I want a number I can trust. So every recipe states the temperature in °C, the exact minutes, and a quick tip from actually testing it, right at the top, before any scrolling.

The 74 recipes on the site span Indian, Arabic, Western and East Asian cooking — a mix that reflects where I live. Dubai is a city where all of those cuisines sit on the same street, sometimes in the same kitchen, and I wanted a site that matched that instead of picking one cuisine and sticking to it.

This is a side project, built and run by one person, not a company or a media brand — which means it grows slowly but honestly. New recipes get added regularly, and if something doesn't work the way I've described it, I'd genuinely like to know so I can fix it.

If you're here because you air fried something and it turned out well, that's the whole point. Thanks for cooking with me.
