Air fry frozen kachori at 180°C (356°F) for 15 minutes.
Kachoris are drier and denser than samosas, so they need a slightly lower temperature for longer rather than a hot, fast blast - that's what gets the inside hot without scorching the flaky outer layers.

Ingredients
400 g frozen kachoris (about 8, moong dal filling), straight from the freezer
Tamarind or green chutney, to serve (optional)
Chopped onion and sev, to serve (optional)
Oil spray
Steps
Take the kachoris straight from frozen - thawing first makes the flaky pastry go soft and dense instead of crisp.
Preheat the air fryer to 180°C for 3 minutes.
Spray the kachoris lightly all over with oil - the pastry is drier than samosa dough and needs a proper coating to colour evenly.
Arrange in a single layer with space between each one so the air can get around all sides.
Air fry for 8 minutes, then turn each one over carefully - the pastry is flaky and can crack if handled roughly while hot.
Air fry a further 6-7 minutes (about 15 minutes total) until deep golden and crisp, checking one is hot right through the centre.
Rest for 2 minutes so the flaky layers set, then serve with chutney, chopped onion and sev if you like.
Tip: Kachoris are drier and denser than samosas, so they need a slightly lower temperature for longer rather than a hot, fast blast - that's what gets the inside hot without scorching the flaky outer layers.
