Air fry chicken chimichangas at 200°C (392°F) for 10 minutes.
Chimichangas are basically a burrito that's meant to be fried, and the air fryer is a genuinely better tool for that than deep frying — you get the same crisp, blistered tortilla without a pot of oil to deal with afterward. This is also one of the best ways to use up leftover chicken tikka or shawarma sitting in the fridge.

Ingredients
4 tortillas
300 g cooked chicken, shredded (leftover chicken tikka works well)
1 cup grated cheese
¼ onion, chopped
¼ capsicum, chopped (optional)
½ tsp chilli powder (optional)
Oil spray
Steps
Shred the cooked chicken if it isn't already shredded.
In a bowl, mix the chicken with the grated cheese, chopped onion, chopped capsicum and chilli powder until evenly distributed.
Lay out the tortillas and divide the filling between them, keeping it toward the centre.
Fold in the ends first, then roll each tortilla into a tight parcel so nothing spills out during cooking.
Preheat the air fryer to 200°C.
Spray the parcels with oil and place them seam-side down in the basket to seal the fold.
Air fry for 5 minutes.
Flip each parcel over and air fry for the remaining 5 minutes, until golden and crisp on all sides.
Let them rest for a minute before cutting, since the cheese filling stays very hot.
Tip: A great way to use leftover chicken tikka or shawarma.
