Air fry teriyaki salmon at 200°C (392°F) for 9 minutes.
Salmon's own fat keeps it moist even under the air fryer's intense, direct heat, and because that heat surrounds the fillet, there's no need to flip it and risk breaking up the flesh. Cooking it skin-side down also means the fillet crisps against the basket while the top stays glazed and tender.

Ingredients
2 salmon fillets
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp honey
1 garlic clove, grated
½ tsp grated ginger (optional)
1 tsp oil
Steps
Pat the salmon fillets completely dry with paper towel so the marinade actually clings to the flesh instead of sliding off.
In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, honey, grated garlic and grated ginger.
Place the salmon in a shallow dish, pour over the marinade, and turn to coat both sides.
Marinate for 10–15 min at most — any longer and the soy sauce can start to firm up the flesh.
Lightly oil the air fryer basket and preheat the air fryer to 200°C.
Lay the fillets skin-side down in the basket, reserving any leftover marinade in the dish.
Air fry for 8–10 min with no need to flip, until the flesh flakes easily with a fork and the centre has turned from translucent to an even opaque pink.
Meanwhile, pour the reserved marinade into a small pan and simmer briefly to cook off the raw fish residue, until slightly thickened.
Spoon the warmed marinade over the cooked salmon and let it rest for a minute so the juices settle instead of running out the moment you cut in.
Tip: Any firm fish works here if you can’t get salmon.

Serving & Storage
Serving: Serve with steamed rice, a scatter of sesame seeds and sliced scallions, and a side of quickly steamed broccoli.
Storage: Best eaten the day it's cooked, since delicate fish dries out and loses texture on reheating; if you do have leftovers, warm gently in the air fryer at 160°C for 3–4 minutes covered loosely with foil.
