Air Fryer 3-Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookies
Recipe by Sahil · Reviewed and updated September 2026
Air fry 3-ingredient peanut butter cookies at 160°C (320°F) for 9 minutes.
Three-ingredient peanut butter cookies are for when a craving hits and you don't want to measure out flour and baking powder. The peanut butter itself provides the fat and structure, so there's genuinely nothing else needed — just watch them closely, since a small batch cooks fast.

Ingredients
1 cup peanut butter
¾ cup sugar
1 egg
2 tbsp chocolate chips, optional (optional)
Steps
In a bowl, mix the peanut butter, sugar and egg together until you get a smooth, glossy dough that holds together easily without being sticky.
Stir in the chocolate chips if using.
Line the air fryer basket, or a tray that fits it, with parchment paper.
Roll the dough into 12 small balls and space them out on the parchment.
Flatten each ball slightly with your palm.
Press a fork into the top of each cookie in a criss-cross pattern — this helps them cook through evenly since they're not too thick in the centre.
Preheat the air fryer to 160°C and air fry for 7 minutes.
Check the edges — they should look set and lightly golden, while the middle still looks a little soft — and give them 2 more minutes if needed, up to 9 minutes total.
Let the cookies cool on the parchment for a few minutes, as they firm up properly once out of the basket — don't wait for them to look fully done while still hot.
Tip: Very rich — a small batch goes a long way.

Serving & Storage
Serving: Serve with a cold glass of milk, or sandwich two together with a little jam for something richer.
Storage: Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days; there's no need to reheat, though a minute in the air fryer at 150°C brings back a bit of warmth if you like them that way.
